Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance focus on the relief of sickness and injury and the protection of human life by the provision or support of an air ambulance service for the benefit of the population of the counties of Dorset and Somerset.

This service was launched in March 2000 and fly on average 2 to 3 missions per day, many of them life-saving. The Air Ambulance relies greatly on voluntary donations to continue its survival and needs to raise in excess of £80,000 per month.

The Air Ambulance is a vital service to the communities of Dorset & Somerset, and nobody knows when they might need its help. The Air Ambulance can reach most of the region within 20 minutes, and can land in an area half the size of a tennis court. It is airborne within 3 minutes of a 999 call.
